Fishing, oh WoW!

As the expansion and the "latest" patch has started to loose it's shine, it's time for me to try and find other sources of amusement from the game. Not to say that I don't administer our guild forum, or raid DS and so forth, however when you have most dungeon/raid achievements that you can get even as a noob from old instances and DS has been raided so much that you could do Madness in your sleep, it starts loosing the shine.

Now, being the bored person with very little patience unless I really want it, I had contemplated fishing some.. However I took upon cooking, which I had maxed already on my warlock. Now cooking wasn't hard to max by no means, the Auction House offers a lot of materials needed and if it doesn't, wowhead is there to tell you where to find the mob that will become your next dinner. Fishing however had always seemed such a boring and repetitive task that I hadn't even dreamed of starting it. However now with my maxed cooking and my guild crying out for food, I thought; why not?

And so I tried a fishing daily from Orgrimmar, luckily that went well and I was some 7 points or some ahead. Next, at Children's Week I had picked a fishing daily from Shattrath and so headed to Outlands to do some fishing. Of course with my poor 7 points it was not a hit but a miss and I soon left that ability..  With few points and tangled fishing lines with me.

So I looked at the achievement list. I am one of those people that live for the achievements and what do I see? Four achievements in Dalaran! Heartstoning, ahoy! And so I started gathering coins. I am now as far as skill is concerned exactly at 450, however I have all the coins and am trying to fish up a rat.

Next question is, what to do after I've maxed fishing? After perusing the possible actions, I've decided to do either the explorer or develop Archeology, so that I can make everything myself when it comes to the Vial of the Sands. I truly want that mount as it doesn't jump to your face every time you so much happen to turn around.

However the lesson of this one is that fishing can be surprisingly nice.. Especially when done with other people, like guildies in party so you can see what they and they you looted. It can become a bit competitive even, but it just spices it up.

...Enjoy your fishing, I sure did.
